Endpoint Binding Overview

An endpoint is a key part of a service because it defines the service type and the implementation with which operations used in the service can interact.

Endpoint binding associates the logical design of a service to an endpoint type and, thus, a specific implementation. You can delete the endpoint binding type of a service, for example, a business process endpoint binding, and create a new endpoint binding for the service, for example, a Java endpoint binding, which changes the service from a business process service to a Java service.

Sybase WorkSpace provides flexibility to complete or modify endpoint bindings during the development process. Bindings can be set and modified during the service development or packaging phase.
