Viewing a Service Container Log File in Sybase WorkSpace

The Log View in the Profiling and Logging perspective enables you to examine individual message components and, using log filters, to view selected portions of a log file.

Prerequisites 

Before you can view a Service log file in the Log view, you must import the file into Sybase WorkSpace.

  1. In the Log Records pane of the Log View, select a message and expand the tree view beneath it by clicking on the elements preceded by a plus sign.

    Each tree node represents a page of the log file.

  2. In the Log Records pane, highlight a leaf node in the tree for the selected message.

    Properties information displays for this log event in the Property pane.

  3. Highlight a property in the Property pane.

    Detailed information for this property displays in the Details pane.

  4. To skip to a specific page in the log file, click Go to Page Go to Page Icon on the Log View toolbar, enter the number of the page you want to view, and click OK.
