Managing Service Container Log Filters

You can create or edit a filter for Service Container log files.

  1. Do one of the following:
    Option Action
    From the Profiling and Logging perspective on the View toolbar Click Manage Filters .
    From the Log Details panel of the Add Log File page of the Import Log File wizard Click New.
  2. Select Log from the Filters window and click OK.
  3. In the Edit Filter wizard, provide the following information:

    Field Description
    Filter name Provide a name for the filter. The default name is New_filter.
    Standard and advanced properties In the Standard tab, specify the following:
    • Show events by severity – click this check box to display log events by severity. In Show, specify whether or not to display errors, warnings, and information.
    • Show correlated log records only – click this check box to display only log records that are correlated.

      In the Advanced tab, use Add, Edit, and Remove to modify the list of advanced filter properties in the grid. To Add or Edit an advanced filter property, provide values for the following fields in the respective Add Filter Property or Edit Filter Property dialog box:


      • Attribute – select an attribute for this filter property from the drop-down menu. The default attribute is Creation time.
      • Operator – select an operator for this filter property from the drop-down menu. The default operator is =.
      • Value – modify the text in this field to match the value you want to correspond to the specified attribute/operator pair. The default value is a timestamp reflecting the time at which this dialog box was invoked.

    Click OK .

  4. Click OK.
