Setting Up Categories for a UDDI Search

You can specify the categories you want search.

While setting up a UDDI search, you can use the Categories button to narrow your search to geographic region (for example, Seoul, Korea), where the geographic region is described using the uddi-org:iso-ch:3166-1999 tModel. In this example, you select the Key Name "Seoul Teugbyeolsi" from this tModel. For a list of common business categories, contact a UDDI services coordinator.

The ntis-gov:naics:1997 tModel is one of several business categories that you can use to narrow your search criteria. For a list of common business categories, contact a UDDI services coordinator.

  1. In the Categories dialog box, click Add Category.

The Category Browser dialog box opens.

  2. Open the uddi-org:iso-ch:3166-1999 node and navigate to the appropriate geographic region.

For example, to narrow your search to services offered by organizations doing business in Seoul, Korea, select uddi-org:iso-ch:3166-1999 > Korea, Republic of > Seoul Teugbyeolsi.

  3. Click OK.

The selected category appears in the Categories list.

Edit any of the following fields:
