Developing a Transformation Service

Develop a transformation service to map the content of an input document, using a custom wire format or XML format, from one XML schema to another .

1. Creating a Sybase Project
   You can create a Sybase project that contains folders and files to assist you in organizing and developing resources for your project.
2. Creating a Service
   Create a service and optionally bind it to an endpoint type, such as business process, database, EJB, Java, messaging, monitor, SOAP or transformation.
3. Editing a Transformation Service Interface
   After you define a Transformation service, you can edit the service interface.
4. Defining a Transformation Service Endpoint Binding
   Define transformation endpoint binding operation parameters and properties.
5. Linking a Source to a Target
   Define the transformation service implementation by wiring sources to targets.
6. Using a Literal to Populate Target Elements
   You can add a Literal node, enter the literal value, and link the Literal node to one or more targets. This hard codes the literal value into the target.
7. Defining a Transformation Rule on a Map Link
   After you link sources to targets, you can define a transformation rule.
8. Saving Your Work
   To complete work in a Sybase WorkSpace editor, you must save your work.
