Defining an EJB Service Operation Parameter

If you plan to define the service operation parameter as complex, import the schema before you begin this task.

1. Open the EJB service that you want to edit.
2. Select the Interface tab of the editor.
3. Double-click on the service operation that you want to define a parameter for and select Parameters.

   The Operations Parameters window opens.

4. Click Add.

   The New Parameter dialog opens.

5. Enter the following:

   Table 1. New parameter properties

   Property	Action
   Name	Enter a unique and descriptive name for the parameter.
   Description	Enter a brief description of the parameter, and identify if it is an input, output, or fault parameter.
   Type	Do one of the following: Click Simple Type and select an option from the drop-down list. Click Complex Type and click the ellipse to select a schema from the project Resources list. Note: After you select the complex type, you can view its underlying schema.
   Style	Select the parameter type: Input Output Fault
