Viewing Server Logs

View the information, warning, and error messages of Sybase Search events.

You can set a filter to view only the error, information, or warning records of a particular container, or all the records for the container.

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer, expandSybase Search Servers > (Sybase Search Connection Profile) > Sybase Search Server.
  2. Right-click Sybase Search Server and select Event Log.
  3. In the Search Events dialog, complete these options to filter the log result:

    Field Description
    Filter:
    • ALL
    • INFO
    • WARNING
    • ERROR
    Select the options for which you want to see the record. For example, select ALL to display warning, information, and error type events for the selected container.
    Events to return Select a number of results to display.
    Start:
    • Beginning
    • Now
    Select Beginning to display the event logs in chronologically ascending order.

    Select Now to display the event logs in chronologically descending order.

    Container Select a container to view recorded events for the specific container.
    Reverse Date Order Sort recorded events log in reverse order.
    Forward Date Order Sort recorded events log in chronological order.
    Reset Restore default values.
  4. Click Fetch.
  5. (Optional) Click Save results to save a copy of the server logs to a local disk.
