Editing a Category

Rename a category, edit the seed query terms, redefine document group association, or edit training documents for the selected category.

  1. In the Enterprise Explorer, expand Sybase Search Servers > (Sybase Search Connection Profile) > Sybase Search Server > Categories.
  2. Right-click the category you want to edit, and select Edit.
  3. Edit any of the fields that appear in the Edit Category wizard:

    Field

    Description

    Name

    Enter a name for the new category.

    Query Terms

    Enter a natural-language query. The more information you provide, the more accurate your search results are.

    Query Nnot Terms

    Enter terms to indicate concepts dissimilar to those for which you are searching.

    Minimum Document Relevance

    Select a percentage to define the minimum relevance ranking that a document must score for it to be included within the category.

    Score Unknown Terms

    Check to specify the terms that are unknown to the system and therefore, do not exist in any indexed document—are considered by the scoring algorithm.

    Document Group Nonmembers

    Select one or more document groups and click Add to restrict your search.

    Run Query

    Query search results.

    Add to Training Documents

    Add the selected document from the Results Documents list to Training Documents list.

    Remove

    Remove the selected document from the Training Documents list.

    Run Training Query

    Displays the documents that fall into the category, sorted by relevance.

  4. Click Finish to save the changes.
