Port Conflicts

After installing Sybase WorkSpace, you may experience a port conflict with one or more of the servers.

Each server type resolves port conflicts differently.

• Resolving a SQL Anywhere Port Conflict
  Resolve port conflicts for SQL Anywere runtime databases by changing duplicate port numbers in a data source. A data source maintains a pool of connections to a database server, increasing performance by allowing connection sharing and reuse.
• Resolving an EAServer RMI Port Conflict
  The RMI registry listener port is the location where the RMI registry is started. To resolve port conflicts for Service Containers, change any duplicate port numbers for the RMI listener in the EAServer Manager.
