Certificate Security

The certificate provider provides user authentication services, when the user in question provides a certificate that can be validated with respects to a validity period and a certificate revocation list (CRL).

Certificate validation is enabled through the CertificateValidationLoginModule in the com.sybase.security.core package. The CertificateValidationLoginModule validates the specified certificate against the validity period and any configured CRLs.

Through appropriate configuration, you can also enable certificate authentication in the LDAP login and other custom login modules (via Business Process or Web Services).
