Planning for Database Event Management

Database Event Management allows you manage database events within a business process service in Service Container.

Complete the following tasks:

  1. Install RepConnector™.
  2. Verify the availability of Replication Server® in your environment.

The server replicates data to RepConnector, which routes data to queues in XML.

  3. Install Service Container.

Service Container receives the XML documents of database events from RepConnector and enables the use of Database Event Management in a business process service.

  4. Identify the database events you plan to manage through the business process service.

For example: tranBegin, tranCommit, tranAbort, insert, delete, execBegin, execEnd, or execSQL.

Note: Database events must not be recursive because recursive element references are not supported.
