Adaptive Server Enterprise Configuration

To use the real time messaging, Web, and XML features of Database Development, configure Adaptive Server Enterprise to make the features available.

• Enabling Adaptive Server Enterprise Features
  You must enable the Adaptive Server Enterprise features that you want to use.
• Enabling ASE Real-Time Messaging Services
  Enable real-time messaging services at your Adaptive Server Enterprise data server.
• Enabling the ASE Web Service Consumer
  To use the ASE Web Services Consumer feature, install the Web Services feature and properly configure ASE.
• Enabling the ASE for XML Feature
  To use the ASE for XML feature, install it and properly configure ASE.
