Launching a Database Debug Session from an Editor

Launch a database debug session for a procedural object from its corresponding editor.

  1. Expand the folder containing the procedural object, right-click the procedural object you want to debug, and choose Edit.
  2. In the editor Source tab for the procedural object, right-click and select Debug.
    1. If the procedural object has parameters, the Configure Parameters table appears. Change parameter values as needed, or click Load Default. When done, click OK.
    2. If the procedural object is a trigger, the Edit Configuration and Launch page appears. Edit your configuration, and click Debug when done.

    The SQL code executes to the first breakpoint.

  3. Click Yes in the Confirm Perspective Switch dialog to verify switching to Database Debug perspective.
