SQL File Editor Toolbar

Use the toolbar buttons that appear with the SQL File Editor to update SQL files, manipulate database artifacts, and access database development wizards.

Execute all SQL statements Execute All SQL Statements Execute all SQL statements in the SQL file or object.
Execute selected SQL statements Execute Selected SQL Statements Execute only the selected SQL statements in the SQL file or object.
Explain SQL execution plan Explain SQL Execution Plan Open the Execution Plan view with information about the current execution plan.
SELECT statement SELECT Statement Open Visual SQL for constructing and inserting a SQL select statement.
INSERT statement INSERT Statement Open Visual SQL for constructing and inserting a SQL insert statement.
UPDATE statement UPDATE Statement Open Visual SQL for constructing and inserting a SQL update statement.
DELETE statement DELETE Statement Open Visual SQL for constructing and inserting a SQL delete statement.
Stored procedure definition Stored Procedure Definition Open the Create Stored Procedure Skeleton wizard for creating a stored procedure.
User Defined Function Definition User-Defined Function Definition (SQL Anywhere or Sybase IQ only) Open the Create Function Skeleton wizard for creating user-defined functions.
Trigger definition Trigger Definition Open the Create Trigger Skeleton wizard for creating a trigger.
Event Handler Definition Event Handler Definition (SQL Anywhere or Sybase IQ only) Open the Create Event Handler Skeleton wizard for creating event handlers.
ASE real-time messaging wizard ASE Real-time Messaging Wizard Open the Message Wizard for real-time data functions and real-time stored procedures.
ASE XML services ASE XML Services Open the SQL/XML Wizard for XML query functions, SQL-to-XML mapping functions, and XML-to-SQL mapping functions.
Create nonsharable temporary tables Create Nonsharable Temporary Tables Open the wizard for creating a nonsharable temporary table.
