Variables View

The Variables view displays variable column names and values used by the procedural object being debugged.

Table 1. Variables view context menu functions
Name Action
Select All Select all displayed variables.
Copy Variables Copy variables.
Find Find a variable in the list of displayed variables.
Change Value Change the value of a variable.

Layout
  • Vertical View Orientation: Select for a vertical orientation.
  • Horizontal View Orientation: Select for a horizontal orientation.
  • Variables View Only: Show only variables.
  • Show Columns: Show columns indicating variable name, declared type, value, and actual type.
  • Select Columns: Open the Select Columns dialog to select columns to display.

  • Show Constants
  • Show Static Variables
  • Show Qualified Names
  • Show Null Array Entries
  • Show References
  • Java Preferences

Icon Name Action
Show type names Show type names for the displayed variables. This option is unavailable when columns are displayed.
Show logical structure Show the logical structure.
Collapse all Collapse the display tree.
