Configure push settings to define when Unwired Server can download (push) new data to a device. Downloading can occur only when the device has a connection to Unwired Server.
The way you access the screen to enter push settings depends on the user interface design. This topic describes a sample scenario.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Push address | Typically, the e-mail address for your device; may also be an SMS telephone number. |
Synchronize immediately | Download new data as soon as it is available. |
Notify, then wait for response | Use the push address to notify the device client that new data is available, then wait for a response. |
Notify, then download; do not wait for response | Use the push address to notify the device client that new data is available, then download data without waiting for a response. |
Notify, wait specified time for response; if user does not cancel, download data | Use the push address to notify the device client that new data is available. If the user does not explicitly cancel, download the data. |
Do not notify, do not download data | Do not notify the device client when new data is available, and do not download. |
