Stock Screens

Stock screens are default screens provided by Unwired Platform that consist of some of the most commonly used device application screens, such as a login screen, a screen saver screen, an about screen, and so on.

Stock Screen Function
About Displays information about the device application, such as memory and copyright information.
Login A login screen where the user must enter their user name and password. The login screen is associated with the connection profile chosen as the login profile.
Logs Allows you to view transactional information on insert, update and delete transactions.
Pending Operations This screen lists all operations that have been added but are pending (have not been synchronized). This means that changes do not take place until the next synchronization. You can delete an operation, which means the changes are deferred and will not be sent for that operation when the operations are synchronized.
Personalization Allows the user to set personalization parameters for any objects they are using in their device application. A list of personalization keys is returned based on the objects used in the device application.
Profile This allows the user to edit the URL information for the Unwired Server and to select a login profile.
Push Settings The user can choose the method for receiving push-synchronization notifications:
  1. Email Push Notifications – enter the e-mail address where they want to receive push-synchronization notifications.
  2. SMS Push Notifications – enter the SMS phone number where you want to receive push notifications.
  3. HTTP Push Notifications – enter the information for the server.
Screen Saver The screen saver stock screen is linked to the login screen, as it uses the same password that is used for the login profile. You must use a login screen to use the screen saver screen.
Search The search screen allows you to search synchronized data in mobile business objects on the device.
Synchronize This screen lists the mobile business objects that are referenced by the device application. The user can select individual mobile business objects, or all mobile business objects, upon which to perform a synchronization action.
The user can also view information about the selected mobile business object and select from these synchronization options:
  • Sync Immediately
  • Prompt and Sync if There is no Response
  • Prompt But Do Not Sync if There is no Response
  • Do Not Prompt and Do Not Sync
Note: The synchronization from the synchronization stock screen does not impact the current display screen of the mobile business object. If another user updates the mobile business object, the user must use the synchronization operation that is directly linked to the mobile business object to get the updated results.
BlackBerry Custom Code Allows you to design custom code for the screen and attach it to the selected platform. The platform plug-in determines how the source file is built.
