Configuring Stock Screens

You can customize the stock screens originally developed for the container client.

Stock screens show the stock screen icon in the upper left corner of the screen displayed in the display pane on the Screen Design page, and the screen appears gray instead of white, which indicates you cannot configure the screen. You can, however, configure some of the properties of the stock screens and add menu groups to the stock screens.

When you configure the stock screen properties using the Screen Properties dialog, the configuration dialog box you see depends on the type of the property selected for configuration.

Open the stock screen in the Device Application Designer and click the Screen Design tab.
Select Properties > Stock Screen .
In the right-hand pane of the Properties page, click Configure.
In the Screen Properties dialog, double-click the property you want to configure, or select the property and click Configure.
Enter the information in the configuration dialog and click OK. You are returned to the Screen Properties dialog, where you can select another property to configure.
Click OK when you are finished configuring the properties, or select another property to configure.

Stock Screens
Stock screens are default screens provided by Unwired Platform that consist of some of the most commonly used device application screens, such as a login screen, a screen saver screen, an about screen, and so on.

Use the stock screen Properties page to configure stock screen properties.
Configuring the Action Property
Use the screen properties dialog to configure action properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the Boolean Property
Use the screen properties dialog to configure the boolean properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the Color Property
Use the screen properties dialog to configure color properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the Image Property
Use the screen properties dialog to select the image to associate with the image properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the Integer Property
Use the Screen Properties dialog to configure integer properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the Style Property
Use the screen properties dialog to configure the style properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the String Property
Use the screen properties dialog to configure the string properties for the stock screen.
Configuring the Mobile Business Object Property
Use the screen properties dialog to select the mobile business object associated with the mobile business object properties for the stock screen.
