Implementing HTTPS for Unwired Server Synchronization

Optionally implement the HTTPS certificate if you have enabled the HTTPS protocol for the Unwired Server synchronization listener.

  1. Stop Unwired Server in Sybase Control Center.
  2. Configure Synchronization properties to enable the HTTP and to select the certificate you require. Do this by clicking Server Configuration then select the Synchronization tab.
  3. Start Unwired Server in Sybase Control Center.

After startup the server log contains a message indicating HTTPS protocol, port, and encryption type, indicating the server is ready to receive HTTPS connections. For example:

<Main> HTTPS.4443: RSA_TLS: This secure stream is being encrypted using
    security technology from Certicom Corp.

If you see the following message, it may indicate that the certificate could not be found:

<Main> [-10117] Stream Error: No server certificate was provided.
