Validating a Replication Server Publication

Validate a publication to check that the publication contains at least one article and to mark the publication as valid and ready for subscription.

Prerequisites

Make sure the Replication Server is running. Create and establish a connection to the server.

For more information about Replication Server administrative tasks, see the Replication Server Administration Guide.

In Enterprise Explorer, expand the view for the Replication Server connection profile, and expand the view for the primary database containing the replication publication you want to validate.
Expand the Publications folder, right-click the publication, and select Validate Publication.
SQL Results view indicates the status of the validation.
