Encrypting the Sybase Control Center Administration Stream

By default the Unwired Platform creates a placeholder certificate used to encrypt administration sessions with SSL. Because this is a self-signed certificate, it generates an error when you first load Sybase Control Center.

For more comprehensive details, see http://docs.codehaus.org/display/JETTY/How+to+configure+SSL.

  1. Generate or obtain a public and private key pair, and x509 certificate.
  2. (Optional) Obtain a certificate from a known certificate authority.
  3. Load the keys and the certificates in C:\Sybase\UAF-2_6\services\EmbeddedWebContainer\keystore, and remove the self-signed certificate installed for Unwired Platform.
  4. Configure a JsseListener with the location listed in step 3, and the passwords for the certificate.
