[CR #612303] When you install Replication Manager after installing other Sybase products, sometimes the other products may be removed from Sybase Central. In such a scenario, you must restore the Sybase Central repository file (.scRepository600) from before you installed Replication Manager and then re-register Replication Manager.
If you are installing other Sybase products after Replication Manager has been installed, sometimes Replication Manager may be removed from Sybase Central. In this case, re-register Replication Manager using Sybase Central.
Restoring original Sybase Central Repository file
Shut down Sybase Central.
Save a backup copy of the current .scRepository600 file which is located in %SYBASE%\shared\Sybase Central 6.0.0.
Locate the .scRepository600 that was being used before installing Replication Manager. This file is located in:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Sybase Central 6.0.0, or
C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Sybase Central 6.0.0
Copy to %SYBASE%\shared\Sybase Central 6.0.0.
Restart Sybase Central.
Follow the procedure in “Registering or re-registering Replication Manager 15.2 using Sybase Central” to re-register Replication Manager.
Registering or re-registering Replication Manager 15.2 using Sybase Central
From Sybase Central, select Tools | Plug-ins.
Click Register.
Select the Register a Plug-in by Specifying a JAR File option.
Click Browse to select the %SYBASE%\RMP-15_2\lib directory.
Select RMPlugin.jar file.
Click Next.
Use the default setting in the Plug-in Loading Option. By default, the Automatically Load on Startup option is selected.
Click Next.
Click Browse to select these JAR files from the following locations.
%SYBASE%\RMP-15_2\lib\asa.jar
%SYBASE%\RMP-15_2\lib\dsparser.jar
%SYBASE%\RMP-15_2\lib\ldap.jar
%SYBASE%\RMP-15_2\help\rmen.jar
%SYBASE%\shared\lib\jconn3.jar
Click Finish.
