New caching features include:
Partitioned entity cache – an active data partition can be cached and queries run in memory, while preserving consistency using commit-time validation.
Entity query batching – optimized stored procedures reduce the number of queries from an application server to a database.
Result caching – Session bean and CORBA component methods can be enabled for caching, and a database trigger can be used (instead of timeouts) to ensure transactional consistency of cached results.
