Sybase Central and connect-on-startup

You can configure Sybase Central profiles for EAServer Manager to connect to the server at start-up (see the online help for instructions). However, if the connection fails, you may not see the error message dialogs. The error dialog may appear behind other windows on your screen, or the Sybase Central main window may hide the error dialog. If you have profiles configured to connect at start-up, and Sybase Central appears to hang when starting, minimize the application windows on your desktop and look for connection error dialogs. To avoid the issue, unselect Use on Start-up in the profile properties, or make sure the server is running before you start Sybase Central or EAServer Manager.
