Client application requests use the DirectConnect for z/OS Option to access the DB2 UDB Options for CICS and IMS on the mainframe. Client application requests are initiated by Sybase and third-party client applications.
To establish connectivity between the DirectConnect server and the DB2 UDB Options for CICS and IMS, use SNA LU 6.2 or TCP/IP connectivity and the Tabular Data Stream™ (TDS) protocol. For more information, see the Mainframe Connect DirectConnect for z/OS Option Installation Guide.
