To display the current timeout period enter:
On HP-UX 10.10 and 10.20
/usr/contrib/bin/nettune -l
The switch is a lowercase “L”, not
the number one (1).
On HP-UX 11 and later
/ndd -get/set /dev/tcp tcp_keepalive_interval
The tcp_keepalive_interval parameter specifies the length of time (measured in seconds) to keep an idle connection active before the system checks to see if the connection died.
To change the timeout period, use the nettune -s or ndd -set command.
