Reviewing system requirements

Table 1-1 lists the system requirements for installing jConnect for JDBC.

Disk space	12MB for the default options. Space requirement by component: JDBC driver – 9MB Ribo – 3MB Ribo is dependent on the JDBC driver; when you install Ribo, the JDBC driver is also installed.
Java Developer's Kit (JDK) or Java Runtime Environment (JRE)	JDK 6 or later, or JRE 6 or later.
Other Sybase products (optional)	Sybase IQ, OmniConnect™, DirectConnect.
Web server (optional)	For jConnect’s TDS-tunnelling servlet, any Web server that supports the HTTPS protocol and javax.servlet interfaces.
