Completing New and Upgrade Installations

After completing a new or upgrade installation, perform any postinstallation tasks needed to make your SAP Mobile Platform system fully functional.

• Upgrade: Restoring Customized Settings in SAP Control Center Configuration Files
  If you modified settings in SAP Control Center configuration files in an existing SAP Mobile Platform installation, the upgrade installer overwrites them and you must manually restore the customizations in the new files.
• Enabling the Sample Database in a Production Installation
  The SAP Mobile Platform installer creates a Windows service (SAP Mobile Platform SampleDB) that enables the sample database (sampledb) if you install with a Personal or Enterprise Development license. If you have installed with an Enterprise Server (production) license and want the sample database to be accessible, you must run a script.
• Installing Introscope Enterprise Manager
  Install Introscope Enterprise Manager, then configure it to work with SAP Mobile Server.
• SAP Solution Manager Overview
  SAP Solution Manager provides tools that you can use to manage SAP Mobile Platform as part of your overall SAP landscape.
• SAP Control Center Postinstallation Checklist
  SAP Control Center is the remote SAP Mobile Platform runtime administration tool. By default, the installer configures SAP Control Center automatically for the SAP Mobile Platform environment.
• Security Postinstallation Checklist
  Configuring security after installing runtime components is dependent upon the successful completion of SAP Control Center postinstallation tasks. Perform the security postinstallation tasks once SAP Control Center is functionally stable.
• EIS Driver and SSO Postinstallation Checklist
  Because EIS drivers are used in both preproduction and production environments, their setup is time-sensitive. Before connecting to data sources from SAP Mobile Platform, ensure that these drivers are installed and configured correctly.
