Preparing an SAP Control Center Server

There are several task you must perform on the on the SAP Control Center server before you install SAP Sybase IQ 16.0 SP03.

Note: If SAP Control Center and SAP Sybase IQ reside on the same host, skip step 1.
  1. Back up your current installation. Before you proceed, make sure the backup is readable.
  2. Make a copy of the csi_config.xml file in the %SYBASE%\SCC-3_2\conf directory.
    Note: This file contains the SCC login IDs and passwords and is overwritten during migration.
  3. Make a copy of these repository files:
    • %SYBASE%/SCC-3_2\services\Repository\scc_repository.db
    • %SYBASE%\SCC-3_2\services\Repository\scc_repository.log
    • %SYBASE%/SCC-3_2\services\Repository\service-config.xml
  4. Make a copy of these files:
    • %SYBASE%/SCC-3_2\services\SccSADataserver\service-config.xml
    • %SYBASE%/SCC-3_2\services\EmbeddedWebContainer\service-config.xml
    Warning!  You are copying multiple instances of the service-config.xml file that are stored in different locations. Though the file name is common, the content of each instance is unique. When making each copy, note its original location, as you will need this information to complete the migration process. Store each copy in a different location to avoid accidental overwrites.
  5. Uninstall the current SCC installation.
