Creating a Job Based on Replication Server System Database

Create a Data Assurance (DA) job based on an existing table-level replication definition and subscription in a Replication Server.

Prerequisites
Verify that you have created a Replication Server system database (RSSD) connection.
Task
  1. In the Perspective Resources view, select a DA server.
  2. Select Resource > Administration Console.
  3. Expand Data Assurance Server, then select Data Assurance Jobs.
  4. Either:
    • Select Folder > Import Job from RSSD, or,
    • Click the button that appears when you select Database Assurance Jobs, then select Import Job from RSSD.
  5. Specify the job's basic information.
    Field Description
    Data Assurance server (Required) Name of the DA server from the drop-down list.
    Name

    (Required) Name of the RSSD job.

    RSSD connection

    (Required) RSSD connection that you want to use, created on the Database Connection.

    To choose a Replication Server system database (RSSD) connection, click Select.

    Description

    A brief description to help you identify the job based on RSSD.

    Maximum concurrent jobs

    Maximum number of RSSD jobs that you want to run at the same time.

    Priority for comparison(s)

    Priority level.

  6. Click Next or Source DB Mappping.
  7. Select the source database information in RSSD and database connection in DA server.
    Note: The Selected check box filters the comparison generation. Only the replication definition whose primary database argument is in the selected database set will be used to generate a comparison.
  8. Click Next or Target DB Mapping.
  9. Select the target database information in RSSD and database connection in DA server.
    Note: The Selected check box filters the comparison generation. Only the subscription whose replicate database argument is in the selected database set will be used to generate target argument in the auto-generated comparison.
  10. Click Next or Comparisons Options.
  11. Specify the comparison options.
  12. (Optional) Click Next or Schedule.
  13. Click Finish.
