The ESP Web Services Provider that was introduced in
5.1 SP02 now includes support for REST services, in addition to SOAP services.
Expose an ESP project as a Web service and connect to it
using a REST Web service client of your choice. The REST client communicates with the
ESP project and the provider using JSON requests
over HTTP. The following JSON requests are available through the REST provider:
- get metadata of a stream or window
- publish to one or more streams or windows
- update one or more records in one or more windows
- upsert a record in a window
- delete one or more records in one or more windows
- deploy, start, update, stop, and remove a project
