Style Sets

Style sets have their own look and feel and are used to design mobile applications that look good on multiple device platforms.

Style sets contain base styles, used for the system and user style. You can create new user styles and you can also define platform and device styles to use instead of the base style. When you create new styles, they are applicable to your current Device Application Designer project only, but you can export any styles you create for use in other projects. You can also import external styles for use in your current project.

Styles that you can create include:

During screen design, styles automatically change according to the defined style set for the selected device. When you select a different device, the style set changes to reflect the new selection. If a style set is not defined for the selected device, the style set defined for the platform is used. If the style set is not defined for the platform, the base style set is used.

You can edit existing styles, including the system styles. When you edit a system style, the change is made to all controls using that system style.
