Assign the Save Context action to screens with a table or list detail widget to maintain context when navigating between screens on the device.
Add a Save Context action to a control so that when navigating from one table screen to another on the device, the device client remembers what table row was in focus before it switches to the next screen to maintain the context and display the correct information on the second screen.
If you do not explicitly add this action to the control, context is not automatically saved from screen to screen.
When using the Save Context action, keep in mind the following:
- The screen must contain at least one table or list detail widget.
- Each widget can have only one Save Context action assigned.
- When a table or list detail widget is deleted, the related Save Context action is also deleted.
- User selects the relationship when Save Context action is defined. When the relationship that was defined for the Save Context action is changed or removed, the problem check shows a warning in the Problems view. Update the Save Context when you change or remove relationships from the Save Context action.
