Mobile Business Object References

Use the Mobile Business Object References dialog to create new mobile business object references, edit existing mobile business object references and attributes, or to remove existing mobile business object (MBO) references.

Mobile Business Object References

Column Description
Name Name of the mobile business object.
Display Name The display name of mobile business object when deployed to the device or simulator.
Profile The Unwired Platform profile associated with the mobile business object.
Version The version of the mobile business object.
Package The package that contains the mobile business object.
Note: You must use all the deployed MBOs in a package on the device application. If you do not want to use all the MBOs in one project, you can select only the MBOs you want to use and deploy those to the server, or separate the MBOs you want to use from the MBOs you do not want to use into separate mobile application projects.
Synchronization group The synchronization group that contains the mobile business object.

Mobile Business Object References Actions

You can perform these actions in the Mobile Business Objects References dialog:

Action Description
New Create a new mobile business object reference.
Edit Edit the mobile business object reference.
Initial Sync This option applies to all syncable mobile business objects. It allows different default values to be passed to the mobile business objects with parameters for startup synchronization. You can assign these input types to an initial sync parameter:
  • Variable (only system and user variables can be assigned)
  • Literal
  • Personalization key
  • NULL value
Edit Attributes Edit the display and attribute type settings for the mobile business object attributes.
Restore Restore the mobile business object to the original version.
Show Usage Display information about which controls under which screens are using the selected reference.
Remove Remove the selected mobile business object reference.
Note: Only mobile object references that are not being used in the current application can be removed.
