Installing Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 7

To use 256-bit password encryption, install JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction policy files in the Replication Agent security directory.

1. Shut down the Replication Agent instance.
2. Download the JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 7 from the Oracle Web site.
3. Extract the UnlimitedJCEPolicyJDK7.zip and copy the content of the Zip file in the Replication Agent installation directory.

   • On Windows – %SYBASE%\RAX-15_5\JRE7\lib\security

   • On UNIX –$SYBASE/RAX-15_5/JRE7/lib/security

4. Delete the existing password encryption string:

   ra_admin -k <instance>

5. To re-generate the new maximum-strength password encryption string, reset the system administrator account:

   ra_admin –reset <instance>

6. Restart the Replication Agent instance.
7. Resume replication:
