Identify your application and login requirements for temporary databases. Bind these applications and logins to different databases or default groups to distribute the load evenly across available temporary databases to avoid catalog contention. Inappropriate bindings do not solve catalog contention even if there is a sufficient number of temporary databases—Adaptive Server may not distribute the load evenly across the temporary databases.
