Uninstalling Sybase Unwired Platform

Uninstall Sybase Unwired Platform using the Add or Remove Programs option on the Control Panel, which launches the uninstaller. The uninstaller removes the specified Sybase Unwired Platform features from the installation directories. Unistall Sybase Unwired Platform before reinstalling or upgrading.

Prerequisites

Before you uninstall Sybase Unwired Platform, Sybase recommends that you:

Shut down any Sybase products, Sybase processes, and associated third-party processes that are currently running, including the consolidated database server (SQL Anywhere), OpenDS server, and Sybase Unified Agent. Shut down all Unwired Servers before shutting down the consolidated database (SQL Anywhere).
Move any user-created files and log files you want to keep from the installation directories to another location. See Upgrading From an Existing Version for data migration considerations.
Delete the JAVA_TOOL_OPTIONS environmental variable. See Sybase Unwired Platform Installation Prerequisites for instructions.

Uninstall Sybase Unwired Platform components before reinstalling them or upgrading to a new version. See Reinstalling Sybase Unwired Platform for reinstallation instructions.

From the Windows Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs .
Select Sybase Unwired Platform 1.2, and click Change/Remove.
Click Next in the welcome window.
Select the components that you want to remove, and click Next.
Review the list of components to be removed, and click Uninstall to remove the selected components.
Click Finish when the following message appears: The InstallShield wizard has successfully uninstalled Sybase Unwired Platform 1.2.
Delete any files and directories in the Sybase Unwired Platform installation directory that the uninstaller did not remove.
