A configuration file version number tracks the most recent copy of the server configuration file. This information is stored on the quorum device and in each server configuration file. Every time a new configuration file to the quorum device, the version number is incremented and Adaptive Server dumps the new server configuration file and version number to each instance.
Use qrmutil to view the current version number of any configuration file:
qrmutil --quorum-dev=/dev/raw/raw101 --ase-config-version
