Replication Agent must be able to read the Microsoft SQL Server log files. However, the Microsoft SQL Server process opens these log files with exclusive read permission, and the file cannot be read by any other processes, including Replication Agent. Before Replication Agent can replicate data, you must use the sybfilter driver to make the log files readable.
For the sybfilter driver to work properly, the Microsoft Filter Manager Library must be version 5.1.2600.2978 or later. To determine the version of the library, right-click c:\windows\system32\fltlib.dll in Windows Explorer, select Properties, and click the Version or Details tab in the Properties dialog. If the version is earlier than 5.1.2600.2978, go to the Microsoft Web sitehttp://windowsupdate.microsoft.com, and update your Windows system.
