M-Business Anywhere version 7.0 and later provides an SSL library that is compliant with FIPS 140-2. This library automatically secures synchronization between M-Business Client and M-Business Server, as long as the following conditions are met:
M-Business Client is running on a Microsoft OS device, or on a Windows desktop.
The user is synchronizing securely.
If M-Business Server is set to allow only secure synchronizations, then all users always synchronize securely. See Configuring M-Business Server to accept only secure connections.
If M-Business Server is set to allow insecure synchronizations, then it is up to each user to choose to synchronize securely. A custom application could force specific users, or groups of users, to synchronize securely.
