Operating system updates

For a complete list of patches, contact your operating system representative. Do not use a patch that is earlier than the version suggested for your operating system. Use the patch recommended by the operating system vendor even if it supersedes the patch listed here.

Windows requires the following operating system service pack to run Adaptive Server version 12.5 and later components:

NoteWhen you are running IPv6 on Windows platforms, Adaptive Server must be running on Windows 2003.

If your operating system requires this service pack, install it before installing Adaptive Server.

To determine which service packs have been installed on your system, see “Viewing installed patches,” next.

Viewing installed patches

To determine which service pack operating system level and build number are installed on your system, enter:

  1. Start Windows Explorer.

  2. Select Help | About Windows.

  3. Find the Service Pack number on the Version line.

    In the following example, xxxx is the build number and n is the service pack number.
