Use the new and enhanced features of Enterprise Explorer to centralize and simplify the core management and administration of enterprise servers.
Servers for modeling, database development, Web application
development, services-oriented development, and process orchestration can all be managed from the centralized enterprise view of the Enterprise Explorer.
New and changed features include:
- Secure connections – Sybase now provides an extensible architecture for storing encryption keys, digital certificates and other credentials in flat files known as keystores. You can create and manage connection profile information for these files and browse the contents of them.
- New connection profiles – create and manage connection profiles for all new supported servers. This existing feature has been extended to LDAP servers, file repository servers, data federation servers, messaging (for example, e-mail and SMS) servers, and ASE databases.
- Integrated Database Explorer – has been replaced with Enterprise Explorer in WorkSpace 2.0.
- Customizing the Enterprise Explorer view – customize your view of Enterprise Explorer by setting up filters, subgroups, and working sets (working sets display as logical groups to reduce visual clutter by restricting what displays). This allows you to display only the Enterprise Explorer resources you require.
- Enhanced logging – correlate and analyze local and remote log file
information from multiple EAServer and Service Container log files
to aid in debugging and isolating problems.
