Sybase WorkSpace makes design and development extraordinarily easy to buy, learn and use for the Sybase environment. Using industry-leading integrated model-driven design, visual development and task-based wizards, WorkSpace automates mundane tasks, freeing developers to concentrate on what’s important - business logic.
WorkSpace is a toolkit that integrates the most important design and development tools in an easy-to-use open source framework. Enterprise modeling, database development, data federation, Web application development, service-oriented development and orchestration all come together for a complete and flexible solution. This solution provides a single, consistent framework that facilitates the use of productivity features, graphical development styles, and automation to work through modeling, development, exploration, test, deployment, and debug cycles.
WorkSpace is built on the Eclipse framework, which is an open platform for tool integration. This allows you to work in a flexible, standards-based, and consistent environment. Sybase WorkSpace can co-exist with other plugins that you want to use.
As you become familiar with the wizard or editor for one service and move to developing another service, you are familiar not only with the wizard and editor, but also with the workflow.
Work with a variety of applications, including Java, composite, event-driven, or data-driven services.
You do not have to start new applications or move to a different server.
When you create a service, a connection profile, or a deployment profile, for example, you can save the work for reuse or share it with other members of your team. You can even publish your service to a public directory. Additionally, you can create deployment-independent packaging models that can be reused, which is especially time efficient when using multiple servers.
