Environment Preparation

Before installing the product, verify that the environment is set up properly.

To install Sybase WorkSpace and run Sybase WorkSpace feature applications, you must have administrative privileges.

During the installation process, the installer uses a temporary directory while it runs. For Windows, the default location is indicated by the %TMP% environment variable. This directory requires 300MB of disk space.

Note: If there is not enough space available in the default temporary location, the installer might not start, or it might start but notify you that sufficient space is not available. You can provide additional space on the default temporary directory by moving or deleting files. You can also change the setting in the environment variable %TMP% to point to a location that has sufficient space.
