Adding a Service Operation

Add a service operation to specify what you want the service to do.

1. Open the service that you want to add an operation to.
2. Select the Service Interface tab, right-click the service interface, and select Add Operation.
3. Select an operation in the service interface to display its properties in the Properties section and edit any of the default properties:

   Table 1. Operation properties

   Property	Description
   Name	Rename the operation from the default name to a meaningful name.
   Description	Provide an internal description, such as an explanation of this operation.
   Input Message Name	Provide the name of the input message.
   Output Message Name	Provide the name of the output message.
   Visible	Sybase recommends that you use the default setting, Visible.

4. Select File > Save As from the main menu bar.
