Developing a SOAP Service

Develop a SOAP service to provide access to an external service that is described by a WSDL document.

1. Creating a Sybase Project
   Create a Sybase project that contains folders and files to assist you in organizing and developing resources for your project.
2. Creating a Service
   Create a service and optionally bind it to an endpoint type, such as business process, database, EJB, Java, messaging, monitor, SOAP, or transformation.
3. Verifying Access to a WSDL Document
   Verify access to the WSDL document before creating a service with a SOAP binding.
4. Editing a SOAP Service Interface
   Because a SOAP service is created from a published WSDL document, you cannot add service operations . You can delete a service operation or expose or hide an operation.
5. Defining a SOAP Service Endpoint Binding
   Define SOAP endpoint binding operation parameters and properties.
6. Creating a SOAP Service from a Published WSDL
   You can create a SOAP service from a published WSDL using a UDDI Registry connection profile.
7. Securing an Outbound SOAP Service
   You can secure a new or existing outbound SOAP Service.
8. Secured Services Within a SOAP Service
   Some services have secure access to the URL where the WSDL document associated with the service resides or have secured the invocation of the service through the use of the Authorization and Authentication security features.
