Developing a Message Service

Develop a message service to allow interaction with external messaging systems.

1. Creating a Sybase Project
   Create a Sybase project that contains folders and files to assist you in organizing and developing resources for your project.
2. Creating a Service
   Create a service and optionally bind it to an endpoint type, such as business process, database, EJB, Java, messaging, monitor, SOAP, or transformation.
3. Editing a Message Service Interface
   The message service interface defines the operations to be performed by the service and the service endpoint that connects the service to an external messaging system.
4. Adding a Service Operation to a Message Service
   A message service must include one operation, but can include many operations, based on its implementation.
5. Editing a Service Operation
   You can edit the properties of a service operation.
6. Adding a Service Operation Parameter to a Message Service
   Define an operation parameter for each service operation in a service.
7. Editing an Operation in a Message Service
   A message service must include one operation, but can include many operations, based on its implementation.
8. Defining a Message Service Endpoint Binding
   Define messaging endpoint binding operation parameters and properties.
9. Adding an Endpoint to a Message Service From a Connection Profile
   Use this method if you have an available connection profile.
10. Adding an Endpoint to a Message Service Using the New Messaging Endpoint Wizard
    Use this method if you are adding an Email messaging type endpoint, if a connection profile is not available, or if you want to add a logical endpoint.
11. Editing an Endpoint in a Message Service
    To run a message service, you must connect to an external messaging system.
