Endpoints

An endpoint provides the connection, or binding, between a service and its target.

A service interface can have one endpoint.
Endpoints definition can be added to a service during service development, or later in the process during package definition or deployment . If an endpoint is added during service development, the endpoint binding can be modified during package definition or during development.
Some endpoint types can be configured and grouped as connection profiles.

Note:
If you are creating an endpoint for a database service, You can create a connection profile for JDBC, Sybase ASA, Sybase ASE, and Sybase ASIQ.

Note: If you plan to use an EAServer JMS transport as a message service endpoint, define queues instead of using the EAServer default queues. See the EAServer collection under Sybase WorkSpace Server Administration for more information about using EAServer Manager to add a message queue.
