Managing a Search Server

Access Sybase Search Web interface, track system details such as host name, port on which each container runs, and the warning and error records of each Sybase Search container.

Prerequisites

Before you start working on Sybase Search, ensure that the Search server is up and running.

You can access the Search Web interface and view the server metrics and server logs and save the report on your local hard disk.

Starting and Stopping a Sybase Search Server
To work with Sybase Search in WorkSpace, first start the Sybase Search server.
Viewing Web User Interface
Access any earlier version of Sybase Search through a browser.
Viewing Server Metrics
Use the Metrics dialog to view the host name, loaded modules, configuration directories, Java system properties of each Sybase Search container.
Viewing Server Logs
Use the Search Events dialog wizard to view information, warning, and error of recorded events that have occurred within the distributed Sybase Search installation.
