Managing a Scheduled Task

Delete old log files, configure time intervals for a Web robot to re-search the Web sites, or run an update on the document store.

• Scheduled Tasks
  Use this wizard to configure tasks to run at scheduled time intervals.
• Creating a Document Store Runner Task
  Use the New Document Store Runner wizard to configure the time interval to run a full update on the document store or unify the document store index stripes.
• Creating a Web Robot Runner Task
  Use the New Web Robot Runner wizard to configure the time interval for the Web robot to re-crawl the Web sites specified, at scheduled time intervals.
• Creating a Log Janitor Task
  Use the New Log Janitor Tasks wizard to delete old log files and compress inactive log files.
• Editing a Schedule
  Use the Edit Schedules wizard to rename a schedule, compress non-active logs, unify a document store index stripes, or configure the time interval for the Web robot to re-crawl the Web sites for the selected schedule.
• Deleting a Schedule
  Remove a schedule from Sybase Search.
